Penn State is slated for another unconventional kickoff time.
The Nittany Lions will welcome Purdue for a 4:15 p.m. kickoff on Saturday, Oct. 31, the Big Ten announced on Monday afternoon. It’ll mark the sixth different start time for Penn State in just its eighth game of the season, with previous matchups starting at noon, 3:30 p.m., 5 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m..
The contest will be broadcast on Big Ten Network, marking the Nittany Lions’ second appearance on the station this season along with the Buffalo game on Sept. 19.
Both teams will enter the matchup at 3-4 overall, though Penn State is still searching for its first conference win of the Matt Campbell era while the Boilermakers are 2-2 in Big Ten play. Both teams also will be coming off a bye week, hoping for a critical win as they battle for bowl eligibility.
Nittany Lion wide receiver Koby Howard is expected to make his return for this game, adding a talented play-maker to Penn State’s offense which has struggled in his absence while dropping four straight games.
